Since the beginning of 4 Buyers Real Estate, there has been an annual party for the people who make this job worthwhile: our clients.

It is an honor to gain the trust of people who are making high-cost decisions that affect their daily life for years to come. It is an extreme honor that they send people they care about to us, so that we can do the same service for their friends and family.

What makes a client-based business model work?

For us:

Party 2024 staffWe like our clients. When they send people they like, we not only get more business, but we get more business with people we probably will like. We would rather spend money on a party with people we like than spend money on lead generation services to build our business.

 

 

For our clients:

Undivided loyalty: 

On a personal level: we get to serve circles of friends and coworkers. Because of this, we hear about the triumphs and troubles of our clients. We get to help them out with finding vendors to fix things in their houses and we get to tap into their successful repair networks. We get to celebrate the welcoming of children and the mix joys of empty nest.

We also get the almost-annual pleasure of hearing someone say, “You worked with 4 Buyers, too! I didn’t know that” while at our party.

On a professional level: the term “undivided loyalty” is part of the agency disclosure form that every home buyer or seller is supposed to sign. It explains where legal loyalty lies. In our company, that’s easy. Our legal loyalty lies with the buyer-client. No one in the company has any business relationship with any seller, we have zero incentive to talk you into any particular house.

Obedience to lawful instruction:

The phrase, “obedience to lawful instruction” is also part of the agency disclosure. It is an important one for both business and friendship. In short, this phrase comes down to respecting the autonomy of our clients and all the people in our lives.

In a business relationship, an agent needs to give advice and follow the instructions of the client. That means letting go of whether the advice is taken wholly. This letting go of control is essential in a respectful business relationship and also important to friendships. Agents who hold onto their expectations of what should happen for a client (when the client wants another outcome) will not gather a group of clients like we have. The fruit of our labor to be respectful and supportive is the people we had drinks and light fare with!
